Fivecomm deployed one of the most interesting exhibition this year at Mobile World Congress 2021 celebrated during the 28th of June to the 1st of July at the Fira Internacional of Barcelona.

The 5G ultra low latency enables the possibility to drive or control remotely and in real time any machine. This 5G characteristic was the one that Fivecomm applied to its driverless boat solution enabling the remote driving of our driverless boat located in La Marina, Valencia from the Orange booth at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, 300 Km distance through the Mediterranean sea.

Our 5G connected driverless boat offers to any port in a safe way and in real time:

• Perimeter security and control
• Water conditions information
• Seabed inspection

For achieving this 5G based port solution at MWC 2021, Fivecomm was collaborating with the ITEAM Research Institute of Valencia, Orange Spain and ZTE Corporation.
