Pioneering the Future of Connected Mobility
In a context where digital transformation is redefining mobility, Fivecomm stands as a key player in the advancement of connected and autonomous transport solutions. The ETMC Project, short for “Entornos de Test de Movilidad Conectada” is a strategic initiative that aims to position Spain at the forefront of V2X innovation through the creation of a national network of experimental and validation environments.
Objectives
Research future use cases and technological evolution to define scalable and sustainable V2X services and testing procedures.
Design a unified test architecture that realistically recreates future connected mobility environments across different labs.
Develop standardised verification procedures for V2X technologies, including test execution, configuration parameters, and synchronized data logging between vehicle and environment.
Define protocols and test methods to validate MCISIC systems (Connected, Cooperative and Intelligent Mobility), covering vehicles, infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI algorithms, and cloud computing.
Establish the ETMC lab network as an international reference in V2X testing and validation across the complete MCISIC value chain.
Our role
Fivecomm brings deep expertise in 5G and C-V2X technologies and plays a crucial role in the ETMC project. Our team is responsible for the design and implementation of two advanced V2X test labs, delivering the full connectivity infrastructure, sensor integration, and edge computing capabilities required to support next-generation validation environments.

The ETMC Project is built upon strong collaboration between leading actors in the mobility, telecommunications, and technology sectors. Coordinated by Renault Group, the project brings together a strategic consortium of nine organizations, each contributing unique expertise to shape the future of connected mobility in Spain.
